Sort your home

If you want to be successful in your personal life and at work, then you have to put your house and work place in order, advise physiologists. According to them, the ‘physical contamination’ and ‘blockages’ stop the energy flow and prevent you from living a harmonious life.

The ‘physical contamination’ is easy to determine- dust, mould and rubbish in general.

The ‘blockages’, on the other hand, need more specific classification:

  • Broken electric appliances, chipped glasses and crockery, objects that you don’t use anymore. Get rid of them, without hesitation.
  • Books that you won’t read again. They prevent you from generating new ideas. Give them away or sell them on eBay.
  • The chaos at home (untidy rooms, dirty dishes). In order to achieve harmony, we need to organise the space that surrounds us.
  • Unfinished jobs and projects. Finish the decorating you started months ago.

In order to prevent ‘blockages’:

  • Think twice before you buy anything new for your home. Think if you really need it and where you are going to put it.
  • Empty the rubbish every day.
  • Throw something away before you bring anything new at home.
  • Don’t store stuff under your bed or on top of wardrobes and don’t clutter your rooms with furniture. All this prevents the good energy from circulating freely.
  • Don’t forget your work place. The order there will clear your thoughts.

According to the Feng Shui followers H. Mayer and G. Zator: “One’s home relates to their soul. For instance, people who are nervous or shy, subconsciously confine the space they live in. That is why, a standard two bedroom apartment in the same building can feel small and unhappy with one occupant and light and spacious with another.”.
